Daily News & More is reporting that West Sabine ISD Board President Kenneth L. Smith has died after a month-long battle with Coronavirus.
Smith, who was 74, had served on the board for many years and was also involved in several other organizations in the community.
Meanwhile, West Sabine schools are currently closed, as is Hemphill ISD and nearby Burkeville ISD amid a Coronavirus outbreak in this region.
