Women arrested for drugs and weapon on police station parking lot

The Alabama-Coushatta Police Department says two women were arrested on the parking lot of their police station after the pair was found to be in possession of a large amounts of drugs, a handgun, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. It happened at about 7:30 Friday evening at the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation between Woodville and Livingston. According to police, officers noticed a suspicious vehicle on the parking lot and inside was Angela Jarone, 53, of Colmesneil, and Autumn Smith, 41, of Houston. Police said the pair had several bags containing multiple forms of drug paraphernalia and contraband, including pills and other substances, dozens of syringes, baggies and scales. Police said testing revealed the drugs to be methamphetamine, fentanyl, Oxycodone, Xanax, and various other prescription narcotics. They also found that the syringes had previously been used and were loaded and ready for future use. Officers say Jarone and Smith were arrested and charged with multiple counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Manufacturing/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon. Additionally, Smith was named in a felony warrant out of Galveston County. At last word both remained in the Polk County Jail in Livingston.
