SHREVEPORT, La. — A woman died Tuesday evening after being hit by a Shreveport Police Department vehicle in the 3700 block of Greenwood Road.
The incident happened just after 7 p.m. while officers were responding to a call for service. Preliminary reports indicate the woman entered the roadway before being hit; she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The department’s Crash Investigation Unit is currently reviewing the accident. The officer involved has voluntarily submitted to standard testing, and officials stated there are currently no indications of wrongdoing or citations.
