SHREVEPORT, La. - Bullets were flying in south Shreveport early Monday. When the shooting stopped, one woman died and a second was left with serious injuries. In happened about 1:30 a.m. in the parking lot behind Whataburger in the 2500 block of Bert Kouns Industrial Loop. That's not far from Mansfield Road in the Southern Hills area. Police told a KTBS 3 News crew on the scene that two 18-year-old women were shot. One of them died. A 12-gauge drum fed shotgun was found at the scene. This latest homicide is the 27th in the city of Shreveport so far this year. It happened in the 71118 zip code.
