SULPHUR, La. (KPLC) - A Houston woman is accused of driving drunk with children in the car and hitting a child in the face in Sulphur.

Deputies were called to a home around 11 p.m. after a disturbance. A woman with visible injuries said an argument between her and Jasmine Marie Rosales, 31, had become physical after Rosales tried to leave with her children while intoxicated, deputies said.

Deputies tracked Rosales’ vehicle and stopped her on Kassy Lane. Rosales was unsteady and smelled strongly of alcohol, deputies said.

Two children were in the vehicle, and one had a bloody nose from Rosales striking them in the face, deputies said.

Rosales was booked on two counts of operating while intoxicated with child endangerment, domestic abuse battery with child endangerment, and cruelty to juveniles. She is held without bond.
