Firefighters were busy on Sunday and again on Monday handling a wildfire near Kirbyville. It happened along County Road 459, between Kirbyville and the Bon Ami Community. The Texas A&M Forest Service on Sunday used bulldozers to plow containment lines around the blaze. However, on Monday afternoon the fire rekindled and jumped the containment lines and began to spread outward. Both the Kirbyville and Roganville Fire Departments had to go out and again on Monday and quell the flames.
