If you have a warrant for your arrest, the last thing you want to do is draw attention to yourself from law enforcement. That’s exactly what a Buna man did early Wednesday morning and he went to jail.
According to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department, at about 2:00 dispatchers received a call from 33-year-old Kolton Smith. The report said Smith was walking his dog when he came upon a young wild piglet. When speaking to a dispatcher, Smith “…demanded that the Sheriff’s Office do their job and do something with this pig.”
A deputy arrived a short time later and learned that Smith was named in a warrant out of Jefferson County on a charge of Resisting Arrest. Smith was placed in custody and taken to the Jasper County Jail.
