Newton County Sheriff Colton Havard captured a wanted fugitive on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Havard, he was on Highway 87 near Hardy Street in Newton when he spotted Thomas Joe Hall riding a 4-wheeler and Havard knew that Hall was wanted on a parole violation warrant.
Havard arrested Hall and he was taken to the Newton County Jail. His fate is now in the hands of the Texas Board of Pardons and Parole.
