SHREVEPORT, La. - The deadline to register to vote in Louisiana's October election is this week. Anyone registering in person, by mail, or at an OMV office needs to do so by the end of Wednesday. Early voting is Sept. 30-Oct. 7. If you need an absentee ballot, you have to request for one by Oct. 10. Election day is Oct. 14.
