The Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office reports that they were contacted about a domestic incident that occurred in a vehicle.
During the incident, the male, Chris Thibodeaux, 41, threw the female out of the vehicle.
The female was taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment. Deputies spoke with witnesses who provided information identifying the suspect.
The Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office issued a BOLO and the suspect was stopped by the Merryville Police Department.
A warrant was issued and Christ Thibodeaux was arrested on charges of domestic abuse battery and attempted first degree murder.
