Beaumont Police say a Vidor police officer was arrested early Monday evening after officers responded to a family disturbance call involving 62-year-old Michael Shaw.
According to police, Shaw was off duty when a report came in that he threatened a family member with a weapon, and as officers were responding he left in an unmarked Vidor police car.
Beaumont police say they stopped him in the area of Highway 105 and Major Drive where he was arrested and taken to the Jefferson County Jail and later charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon/Family Violence and Driving While Intoxicated.
