A Jasper man was killed in a late Thursday morning crash involving multiple vehicles west of Jasper. It occurred shortly before noon on Highway 190 just east of Farm to Market Road 777 in the Beech Grove Community. According to Texas Department of Public Safety Sergeant Shana Clark, Brandon Hadnot, 39, of Jasper, was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe SUV eastbound when he crossed into the westbound lane. Sergeant Clark said John Ishee, 62, of Beaumont, was westbound in a Ford F-250 pickup truck and pulling a travel trailer. Ishee took evasive action and Handot's SUV then struck the travel trailer which caused it to roll over on the highway. Clark said Hadnot's SUV then side-swiped a westbound Ford Flex driven by Seth Perry, 34, of Beaumont, and occupied by three children, ages 2, 4, and 7. According to Clark, Hadnot's SUV then went off the highway where it collided with trees. Hadnot was pronounced dead at the scene, by Jasper County Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace John Cooper who has requested that an autopsy be performed. Both lanes of Highway 190 were blocked and remained so until 3:00 pm.
