The Jasper County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday morning released the identity of a man who was found deceased outside of his home on Tuesday near Buna. Deputy Karli Cherry says the man was 73-year-old Ronald Racca. According to Cherry, a family member went to check on him and that’s when his body was found next to the porch of the house on Feldschau Road in Cougar Country Estates. Cherry said investigators speculated that the man possibly fell off the porch, was incapacitated, and died. Cherry also noted that the yard was overgrown, making it impossible for anyone to see him on the ground. Justice of the Peace Mike Smith performed the inquest and ordered an autopsy, which will be conducted in Jefferson County.
