They’re mourning in Polk County after a Livingston High School senior was killed in a hit-and-run crash after Friday night’s football game. Meanwhile, the search for the person behind the wheel of the other vehicle ended on Monday when the suspect turned himself in.

PolkCountyToday.com is reporting that 18-year-old Cole Overstreet was driving a 2005 Dodge pickup truck on a highway just southwest of Livingston when the driver of a 2016 Dodge pickup truck crossed the center line and collided head-on with Overstreet’s truck.

Overstreet was pronounced dead at the scene. However, law enforcement says the driver of the truck that hit him fled from the scene on foot.

On Monday afternoon officials in Polk County announced that 40-year-old Roy Grant Wagner, of The Woodlands, was their suspect and he turned himself in at the Polk County Jail and was booked in.

The Texas Department of Public Safety has charged him with Failure to Stop and Render Aid Resulting in Death, Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, and Possession of Marijuana. It's unknown what his bond amount was set at.
