The Tyler County Sheriff’s Department says a man is jailed following an Independence Day shooting which left another man with at least four gunshot wounds. Sheriff Bryan Weatherford says his deputies responded to the incident shortly before 6:00pm Tuesday on County Road 4470 (MLK Road) in the Warren Community and there they found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds to his neck, face, torso, and buttocks. According to Weatherford, they also found and arrested the suspect there, 46-year-old Jama D. Wise. He has since been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Meanwhile, the name or condition of the victim has not been released.
