Two Killed in Head-On Crash Near Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation

Two people were killed in an early Sunday head-on collision near the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation about 15 miles west of Woodville.

PolkCountyToday.com is reporting that it happened at about 3:40 a.m. on Highway 190 when an eastbound 2021 Kia Forte crossed the center line and crashed into a westbound 2003 Ford Explorer.

The driver of the Kia, Cassie Battise, 34, of Livingston, and the driver of the Ford, Latina Tate, 52, of Big Spring, were both pronounced dead at the scene.
