Newton County Sheriff Robert Burby says an early Monday afternoon narcotics search warrant that was executed in Newton has resulted in two arrests.
According to Burby, officers on the municipal, county, and state level participated in the raid which was conducted at a home in the 500 block of Kaufman Street.
Burby said his deputies along with the Newton Police Department, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department, the Newton County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office, and the Texas Department of Public Safety were involved in the execution of the warrant, and he said more details will be released as they become available.
