A high-speed chase with speeds by the perpetrator of over a hundred miles an hour at times ended in the arrest two persons from the Chicago Illinois area. The driver is facing multiple charges relating to the chase itself, but the event was only one part in an ongoing investigation by Detectives Mark Holder and James Young into a group passing fraudulent prescriptions. There were additional drugs recovered from the chase. There was a second person arrested at a local pharmacy for passing forged prescriptions while the high-speed chase was ongoing. Many PD also thanks the Sabine Parish SO and Florien PD for their assistance during the chase. Additional charges are expected due the nature of the ongoing investigation.
