Newton County Sheriff Robert Burby says a pickup truck has been stolen from a hunting lease. The theft took place on County Road 3017, about 5 miles west of Newton. According to Burby, it's a black 1991 Mazda B-2600 with a dent behind the passenger side door. Burby noted that the truck has no license plates because it was only used within the hunting lease. Burby says if you have any information about the vehicle, call the Newton County Sheriff's Department at 409-379-3636. You do not have to give your name.
