PROVENCAL, La. (KALB) - The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office is warning drivers of a large sinkhole on Hwy 117 near Pete Rodgers Road, north of Provencal. NPSO deputies are on the scene and are working with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development to assess the situation and determine what actions will be required for repairs. NPSO also suggests that the sinkhole might have been caused by heavy rainfall throughout the night in Natchitoches Parish.
