Annual Chlorine Cleanse starting September 15, 2021 through November 15, 2021.
You do not need to boil your water or take other actions. This is not an emergency.
During the temporary switch, you may notice a chlorine taste and/or odor in your drinking water. Chlorine levels will continue to meet EPA standards and are not a health risk.
If your skin is sensitive to chlorine please use precaution during this time.
The town's water employees will also be conducting flushing at several fire hydrants throughout town, so please do not be alarmed if you notice hydrants flowing in your neighborhood.
The town will put out a public notice when the cleanse of the system is complete.
