Three suspects have been charged for burglary of derelict hospital

Three suspects have now been charged following an early Monday morning burglary of the old Mary Dickerson Hospital Building. Jasper Police Lieutenant Garrett Foster said a patrol officer saw a pickup truck leaving the property shortly after midnight and a traffic stop revealed that the men had copper wire which had just been stolen out of the building. Arrested were;

Clifton Tubbs, 75, of Buna; Tyler Bryce Tubbs, 22, of Orange; and John Paul Percy, 54, of Buna.

All three have now been charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity and Theft of Material-Aluminum/Bronze/Copper/Brass. Meanwhile, Clifton Tubbs had an additional charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and John Paul Percy had an additional charge out of Parker County for Theft of Material. Bond on Clifton Tubbs is set at $60,000.00, bond on Tyler Bryce Tubbs is set at $30,000.00, and bond on John Paul Percy is set at $40,000.00.
