Newton County Sheriff Robert Burby says three people were arrested in a late Thursday morning drug bust.
According to Burby, at about 10:30 his deputies, along with Jasper County deputies and state troopers had warrants in hand when they went to a home on County Road 4031 in the Fawil Community.
Burby said the trio was arrested and taken to the Newton County Jail where, at last word, they were awaiting arraignment. Their names have not yet been released.
