Texas man accused of firing gun inside Lake Charles club

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - A Texas man is being accused of firing off a gun inside a Lake Charles night club.

According to Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call of shots fired at Cowboys around 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

Investigators learned that someone had fired a gun inside the club. No injuries were reported, deputies say.

Deputies arrested Cameron B. Charles, 26, of Pearland, Texas after he turned himself into authorities.

He was booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center and charged with the following:

  • Aggravated assault with a firearm
  • Illegal use of a weapon
  • Possession of a firearm in the premises of an alcoholic beverage outlet
  • Aggravated criminal damage to property

Bond was set at $375,000.

The investigation is ongoing.
