TEXARKANA, Texas — Texarkana, Texas, police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 30-year-old man wanted in connection with a robbery that left a 73-year-old victim injured on Tuesday.
Authorities say Freddie Miller is wanted for aggravated robbery following an incident on Bowie Street.
According to investigators, a couple had just pulled into a parking space when they accidentally bumped a parked vehicle, which police say belonged to Miller. Miller briefly spoke with the husband, who was sitting in the passenger seat. Police say the encounter quickly escalated.
Miller allegedly reached into the vehicle and attempted to take cash from the man. When the victim resisted, Miller allegedly hit him multiple times in the face before taking the money.
Investigators say Miller then returned briefly to his vehicle before getting out again and grabbing the wife’s purse from inside the car. The purse was later recovered in the roadway, but the cash inside was missing.
Authorities say Miller fled the scene in a Ford Fusion. Using surveillance video, officers were able to track the car to a residence believed to be his, but Miller was not located.
