CARTHAGE, Texas (KLTV) - A teen is in jail after police responded to a report of a threat and suspicious person at Carthage High School Tuesday morning. The Carthage Police Department arrested the 17-year-old around 7:30 a.m. after he allegedly trespassed on the Carthage High School campus with what appeared to be a rifle. Police say the suspect, Auron Campbell, 17, of Gary, also had a backpack with a gas mask and several magazines. They said he seemed to be intoxicated and agitated. Campbell is not a student at the school. He was arrested and charged with terroristic threat, criminal trespass, and public intoxication.
