ST. LANDRY PARISH, La. (KPLC) - The Sulphur High special education teacher arrested for allegedly stabbing his 6-year-old stepson is facing additional charges.
Patrick Seth Greene, 37, of Opelousas, has been charged with eight counts of attempted first-degree murder in addition to his original charges, according to the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.
On June 1, the 6-year-old boy, named Korbin, was cut and stabbed in his face, neck, and chest, and he was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition. Korbin underwent a second surgery for his injuries Monday, June 2.
Greene and his wife each have children from previous relationships. Authorities said seven children were in the home at the time of the incident, and they are now with family members.
Greene, who was employed with the Calcasieu Parish School Board, is currently on administrative leave.
Greene was initially charged with domestic abuse battery with child endangerment, two counts of aggravated assault, and resisting an officer.
