TATUM, Texas (KLTV) - A police officer was injured arresting a suspect accused of shooting through the window of a Tatum home. According to the Tatum Police Department, around 10:45 a.m. Thursday a police officer arrived to a home on Cardinal Street in relation to reports of shots fired through a window. The officer investigated the scene and arrested Kekoa E. Hurt. Hurt allegedly resisted arrest, injuring the officer’s shoulder in the process. The officer was taken to a hospital for treatment and is expected to make a full recovery. Tatum Primary School was placed on lockdown while the incident occurred as a precaution. The lockdown has since been lifted.
