The Jasper County Sheriff’s Department has announced that items stolen in two different counties has been recovered, and a suspect has been arrested.
According to the department, a tip was received which led them, along with the Sabine County Sheriff’s Department and both the Pineland and Jasper Police Departments, to the stolen items on Friday night.
The items included a utility trailer and other items that were stolen out of the Hog Creek Hunting Club, and also an ATV which had been stolen near the Hancock Cemetery.
Officials say a 35-year-old white male Bronson resident was arrested on narcotics charges out of Sabine County and two felony counts of Theft of Property out of Jasper County. His name has not yet been released pending formal charges at arraignment.
Meanwhile, Jasper County Sheriff Mitchel Newman emphasized that the investigation is continuing, and additional charges are possible.
