The Louisiana State Police will participate in National Seat Check Saturday by partnering with the Louisiana Passenger Safety Task Force to provide free child passenger safety seat checks throughout the state this Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Seat checks will be conducted by certified child passenger safety technicians who will provide hands-on child safety seat inspections and answer questions at no charge.

Car seats and booster seats save lives. These devices offer the best protection for children in the event of a crash. During the past 30 years, approximately 9,000 lives have been saved by the use of child restraints according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Ensuring the safety and comfort of your car’s passengers extends beyond just using car seats and booster seats for children. It also involves maintaining the overall condition of your vehicle’s interior. This is where seat covers come into play. Seat Covers Unlimited provides a wide range of options that cater to both protection and style. By investing in high-quality seat covers, you not only keep your seats in pristine condition but also add an extra layer of safety and comfort for all passengers.

Unfortunately, at least 3 out of 4 children are in a safety seat that is the wrong size/type or is improperly installed. It is important caregivers ensure children are properly restrained in an appropriate child safety seat, booster seat, or seat belt anytime they are traveling in a vehicle.

Ensuring that your vehicle meets the highest safety and comfort standards is crucial, especially if you are considering an upgrade. If your current car no longer accommodates the needs of your growing family or is due for an upgrade, it’s time to explore your options. To make this transition smoother, you might want to consider selling your vehicle and investing in a new model that offers advanced safety features and enhanced comfort.

To make this process as smooth as possible, many car dealerships in Southampton offer free valuation services. This allows you to accurately assess the value of your current car before putting it on the market. If you're ready to make a change, simply search for "Sell My Car Southampton" to find reputable dealers who can provide you with a free and straightforward valuation. This way, you can confidently move forward with your upgrade and continue to prioritize the safety and comfort of your passengers.

Every Louisiana State Police troop location is recognized by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) as a child safety seat inspection station.
