The Texas Department of Transportation has announced that a speed limit increase has been approved in Zavalla by the Texas Transportation Commission. This comes as the Highway 69 project nears completion, which includes an overpass on Highway 69 crossing over Highway 63. TXDOT says the speed limit on Highway 69 will increase from 55 miles-per-hour to 65 miles-per-hour as soon as the new speed limit signs are installed.
