Some school districts in this area have announced temporary closures, citing Coronavirus as the reason. In addition to classes being cancelled, all of the school districts also say that all extracurricular activities have been suspended.
The school districts that are closed are:
Burkeville ISD – Will resume class on September 1st
Deweyville ISD - Will resume class on September 7th
Hemphill ISD – Will resume class on September 7th
Kirbyville CISD - Will resume class on September 7th
Newton ISD – Will resume class on September 7th
West Sabine ISD – Will resume class on September 7th
