BENTON, La. - Louisiana State Police responded to a fatal crash on LA Highway 3 near Alden Bridge Loop Sunday morning.
Near 4:30 a.m., a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze driven by Mary Sparks, 56, of Shreveport crossed the center line of LA Highway 3 and struck another vehicle.
Sparks was restrained at the time but suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle was transported to a hospital for treatment but is not suspected of impairment.
The crash is under investigation.
