SHREVEPORT, La. - Shreveport police arrested a woman accused of stealing political campaign signs from multiple locations across the city.
Following an investigation by the Property Crimes Unit, detectives identified Katherine Sifuentes as the suspect. Police say surveillance video showed Sifuentes removing campaign signs and placing them into the trunk of a dark-colored Mercedes-Benz.
The investigation began after a June 17 report that campaign signs for a Shreveport City Court judgeship candidate had been stolen from several public locations. Detectives also identified an additional victim whose campaign signs had allegedly been stolen by Sifuentes.
Sifuentes was arrested and charged with two counts of theft. She faces one count for each victim.
