NATCHITOCHES, La. - A 16-year-old is dead and two other juveniles injured during a shooting Monday night in Natchitoches. Shortly after 8 p.m., Natchitoches police officers received several phone calls about gunshots in the area of Stella Street and Northern Street. Officers found a vehicle in the 1400 block of Stella Street that had crashed into a tree. The 16-year-old was dead from several gunshot wounds. Police say two additional juveniles were taken to the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center by family members. One was later taken to a hospital in Shreveport and the other was released.
