Pineville police have made two arrests following a shooting that happened Thursday night (Dec. 21) at the El Toro Apartments at 1701 Military Highway.
Police responded to a shots fired report around 5:30 p.m. One person had been shot and was taken to a local hospital. The victim is in stable condition at this time.
Two people have been arrested following an investigation into the shooting.
Cartez Dotson, 36, of Alexandria, was arrested and charged with three counts of attempted second-degree murder, obstruction of justice, accessory after the fact and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Terrance Partee, 38, of Pineville was arrested and charged with three counts of attempted second-degree murder, obstruction of justice and accessory after the fact.
During the arrest, three firearms were recovered. Police said 33 shots were fired in this incident.
“We are grateful that the victim in this case is expected to make a full recovery,” said Chief Darrell Basco of the Pineville Police Department. “This was a senseless act of violence, and we are committed to bringing all those involved to justice.”
