Sheriff says no one injured but a woman from Call has been arrested following a shooting incident at Memom's Convenience Store located at the intersection of US Highway 96 at Farm to Market 1006 at Call Junction between Kirbyville and Buna.
Jasper County Sheriff Chuck Havard said deputies were dispatched to the location shortly after 2:00 on Monday afternoon when it was reported that a woman had fired shots across the highway at her former boyfriend.
Havard said the alleged shooter Samantha Sanchez, 39, of Call, was taken into custody and first taken to a hospital for medical examination before being transported to the Jasper County Jail where she was to be charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon/Family Violence F2.
Havard said the boyfriend was not injured in the incident.
