The recent arrest of a man accused of impersonating a police officer has sparked concern on social media about a black truck pulling over drivers in the Fields/Starks area. Beauregard Sheriff Mark Herford says the unmarked black truck is indeed a sheriff's vehicle, belonging to the narcotics task force. Herford says the vehicle has been doing some "aggressive patrols" in response to vehicle thefts in the area. Herford also said task force members do not wear the typical sheriff's office uniform.
