Jasper County Sheriff Mitchel Newman and his deputies are asking for help in identifying and locating a man who they say is responsible for the theft of a catalytic convertor from a vehicle on the south side of town. Chief Deputy Scotty Duncan said a camera located at the home on County Road 297, just off old Highway 8 caught an image of the man who he and others believe stole the convertor from a woman's vehicle. Anyone knowing the suspect or his identity or whereabouts is asked to call Duncan at the Jasper County Sheriffs Department. Duncan said all information will remain confidential.
