TRINITY COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - One man is dead and another man is injured after an attempted murder-suicide at a Neches River bridge near the Trinity and Angelina county lines, according to Trinity County Sheriff Woody Wallace.
On Wednesday, a child was found in a Trinity County roadway attempting to seek help from passersby shortly before first responders received information regarding a shooting that occurred in the same area, according to a Trinity County Sheriff’s Office press release.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered a man dead at the scene, with another adult male already taken by ambulance to a local hospital, according to the release.
The child was not injured, according to the release.
The Trinity County Sheriff’s Office is requesting witnesses to contact the sheriff’s office to identify themselves at 903-642-1424.
