Severe weather possible Monday

Archived as originally published. Information reflects the date of this article.

SHREVEPORT, La. - The threat remains for severe weather to kick off the week. The main concern is damaging winds, especially as the line of storms pushes east. The secondary concern would be an isolated tornado threat. Hail and flooding risk is low. Potential development is expected around late morning into the afternoon hours. Thunderstorms will move in during the early morning hours, but should stay below severe criteria at that time.  The KTBS MEGA 3 Storm Team has the region under a Yellow Weather Alert. The National Weather Service Shreveport says the greatest risk should be over the ArkLaMiss Monday afternoon and evening. A wind advisory is in place until Monday evening.
