Jasper County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Scotty Duncan said Wednesday that deputies have located and arrested the seventh suspect in a mass shooting following the Jasper High School Prom. Meanwhile, Duncan says the eighth and last suspect remains at-large. Eleven teenagers were shot shortly after midnight on Sunday, April 23rd. Investigators said 250-300 teens had gathered for an after-prom party at a residence on County Road 263, just north of Jasper. Fortunately, none of the gunshot wounds were life-threatening, although some were life-altering. Duncan said that the suspects were in at least two vehicles when they pulled up outside the party and began shooting. However, he said investigators are still trying to unravel exactly what transpired and led up to the incident. It’s not yet known what charge or charges will be filed on the seventh and eighth suspects. So far, the following suspects have been arrested and charged:
