POLK COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - Search efforts are underway in the area below Lake Livingston Dam for a 31-year-old man missing since Saturday.
Two men were reported missing Saturday evening, launching a search of the area below the Lake Livingston Dam near Highway 3278, according to a Texas Game Wardens release.
One person was found that evening and taken to the hospital. He has since been released.
An Underwater Search and Recovery Team, as well as the Texas Game Warden Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program, are participating in the search for the still missing 31-year-old. Police officers, volunteer firefighters, and other emergency responders are also helping in the search.
Multiple boats are also on the water and sonar technology is being used.
If he is not found Tuesday, Texas Game Wardens said it will utilize an aviation team on Wednesday.
