The San Augustine County Sheriff’s Department says their law enforcement K-9 is missing. According to the department, “Army” has been missing since Wednesday. The department says his handler let him outside for a bathroom break at his home on Highway 87 about 15 miles east of San Augustine. However, the dog spotted an animal in the woods, natural instinct kicked in, and the dog took off chasing the animal. He hasn’t been seen since. If anyone sees the dog in that area, they’re asked to call the sheriff’s department at 936-275-2424.
