A San Augustine County Sheriff's Department deputy, who was formerly a Sabine County deputy, has been arrested and charged with one Class A Misdemeanor count of Official Oppression. According to San Augustine County Jail records obtained by Daily News & More in Hemphill, 54-year-old Terry Lynn Fountain surrendered himself and was arrested on January 19th. The arrest record indicates that he was then released under a personal recognizance bond. Meanwhile, no other details about the case are known at this time. Fountain joined the Sabine County Sheriff's Department in February of 2o16. It's unknown when he left Sabine County or when he was hired by San Augustine County.
