A Sabine Parish teacher is behind bars, accused of having sex with a 13-year-old female student.
Sabine Parish sheriff's investigators have charged James C. Jones, 50, of Pleasant Hill, with five counts of molestation of a juvenile. He's held in the Sabine Parish Detention Center.
Jones, a teacher at Pleasant Hill High School, surrendered to authorities after learning there was a warrant for his arrest. The warrant was issued after an investigation by Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives found that he allegedly had sexual relations with the student on five different occasions.
No bond has been set.
