Port Arthur Police are investigating a robbery in which suspects took a man's truck keys and then shot him before driving away in his pickup.
Police say they received a 911 call at about 4:30 a.m. Monday reporting a shooting in the 3800 block of Chevy Chase Lane. Officers say a man in his 40's was shot at least once. He was taken to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont by EMS for what appear to be non-life threatening injuries.
The victim told police he walked outside to go to work when he was confronted by two suspects he didn't know. The suspects took the victim’s keys from him at gunpoint and then shot at the victim. They drove away in the victim’s pickup and officers located it a short time later. Police had not found the suspects at the time of this news release.
