If you'll be driving in Red River Parish on Thursday, you'll want to steer clear of LA 509 where it intersects with LA 1. Several Union Pacific train cars jumped the track in the area late Wednesday night.
Union Pacific is on the scene assessing the situation, working to return the rail cars to the track with some heavy machinery.
Luckily nobody was hurt and the cars were empty.
Motorists are advised to expect possible traffic congestion on LA 1.
Authorities tell KTBS it could take a few hours to clear the area.
