COUSHATTA, La. -- A minimal earthquake was reported just after 10 p.m. Thursday near Coushatta, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The site of the magnitude 2.7 earthquake was about 1.2 miles north northwest of Coushatta.
It was measured at a depth of just over 3 miles.
This is not the first time earthquakes have been reported in that general area of the parish.
