Rayburn Drowning Victim Identified as Midland Resident

The man who drowned in Lake Sam Rayburn on Thursday has been identified by Angelina County authorities as 27-year-old Midland resident Chad Allen Nease.

Reportedly, Nease was loading something into his boat at Cassels-Boykin Park near Zavalla on Thursday when he fell into the water at about 10:30 a.m.

His body was recovered at about 5:30 p.m. Thursday by dive teams from Texas Parks & Wildlife and the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Department.
